Bio

Chywanda “Ladi C” Walker was born on February 22, 1985 in Gary, Indiana. At a very young age she developed a love for music. The age of 5 she began singing in the children’s Choir at church but it wasn’t until she was 8 years old when her mother and choir director discovered that she had a voice. This is where her music abilities began to take off for her. At the age of 10 she taught herself how to play the drums after being told by many men that “women cant’ play the drums”. Saying that she could not do something light a fire under her and from that point forward everything she did would be her best.
Singing always came natural to but rap was something she had to really work at. Ladi C grew up listening to artist like Da Brat, Lil Kim, Mia X, Mc Lyte, Queen Latifah and her all time favorite, Missy Elliot. She admired Missy’s every move, and how she changed the game for females. If there was any artist that she wanted to be like hands down it was Missy Elliot.
In High school, Chywanda continued to sing but her rapping abilities quickly started to over power her singing abilities. So she teamed up with some of the guys at school and began to battle rap. This is when she received the name Ladi C Snappa because she was known for executing any verse that she rapped. Her popularity quickly spread through out the schools and people started requesting that she perform with them during talent shows.
Later in her high school years she began writing short stories that immediately turned into plays. Her first play entitled “Victory over Violence” turned out to be a great success and she knew that writing was something she wanted to continue pursuing.
After graduation, she received a scholarship to Lincoln University for music. In May of 2004 Ladi C along with the Lincoln University choir was featured on a track with Nelly entitled Heart of A Champion off his Sweat Suit album.
In February 2006 she produced her first musical play entitled Double Agent Christian, where she wrote and produced all music. February 2008 she produced her second musical play entitled
‘Real Love’ in which she wrote the play and produced all the music as well, and in February 2010 she wrote her third play entitled
“Confessions” which turned out to be one of the largest musical plays performed at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri packing the house with just over 1000 each night the auditorium was at capacity all three nights of the plays run.
In August of 2010 Ladi C decided that her time in Jefferson City, Missouri was up, after 7 years, 3 successful plays and credible music connections under her belt she moved back to her hometown of Gary, Indiana.
Since returning home she has produced her second album entitled “Eat U Alive” and in June 2011 she released a mix tape entitled “Suppertime”.
May 2011, Ladi C began working with Psycho Drama’s Psyde and produced his mix tape entitled Adam & Eve’ which she was featured on as well. She was also featured on his album which was released the same month entitled “You Have the Right to Remain Psylent”.
July of 2011 Ladi C won the title of “Street Queen” of the Midwest beating out a total of 9 other Hot local female artist.
In September 2011 Ladi C started a showcase called “Queens of the Midwest” to showcase women rappers, singers, poets etc…The first show was a huge success and from this it has now become an on going event which is held every three months in various locations thru out the Midwest.
In February of 2012 she opened for Bone Crusher, Lord Infamous, and Psycho.
In March of 2012 she released her album entitled “Murder Em” which sold over 100 copies in the first week on the streets!!
Her upcoming events including opening for Project Pat as well as the Eastside Boys. She will be hosting her second showcase for the “Queens of the Midwest” pt II which will showcase 20 of the hottest women of the Midwest under one roof, and in May she will be bringing the first annual “Kings of the Midwest” showcase which is looking to be one of the biggest events in Gary thus far.
As an artist, Ladi C’s goal is to become a well respected icon for women of all ages. Her message to women is to ALWAYS no matter what pursue your goals and dreams and let your creative juices flow.

So in the heat of it all when I got him  that evening I seen a news article about a new York mayor who single handedly shut down the city's drug trafficking. And I took that idea and  said I would be that Chicago artist that would shut down New York. The Kennedy part came when one of my homies told me one day one of these rappers would blow my head off Kennedy style and there you have it lol.

Questions:

1.WHERE DO YOU SEE HIP HOP/RAP AS A WHOLE RIGHT NOW?
A.) Hip-Hop is entering a new era.  That crazy one area dominating the game thing is just about over.  People are emerging from all over & doing very well.  You've got a lot of good artists with solid production all putting out music at once. It's becoming competitive. So,... It's the start of something new.  If only fans would stop downloading & start supporting again. The game would really be at something solid.

2.) DO YOU WANT A RECORD DEAL OR DISTRIBUTION DEAL AND WHY?
No, I can't currently say that I do. A deal wouldn't do me any favors. We go out daily & promote ourselves. We connect with the people that we're trying to sell our music to. Connecting & building with them so we know our fans. Thanks to social networking everything that a label can offer, you can do yourself. You don't get the same advances but you'll get it back once you've worked hard enough. Hard work pays off & without a deal, it's all profit from what you've invested & then some. Plus, without the deal you've got more control over what is given to the public.

3.) WHO DO YOU WANT TO WORK WITH?
Artists I'd like to work with are Ryan Leslie, Young Jeezy, Roscoe Dash, Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent & MGK (Especially with us both being from Cleveland, Oh.) They're some of the people in the game that I respect & I'd like to see what it's like to make a hit with them. Each of them bring different energies on their tracks so I'm sure it's like that in the studio. With me being a producer, My energies change often so I could adapt to any of those styles.

4.) WHAT WOULD YOU TELL A YOUNG EMCEE COMING UP IN THIS GAME?
Anyone in this game that's coming up, I'd tell the same thing.
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.

If you're going through hell, keep going. Eventually, It'll get better. It's hard to believe when you're first starting off, or even in the middle but the best stories are more than one page.

5.) WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF A EMCEE?
An emcee to me, has lyrics. There's no other way to define that. Not punchlines but lyrics with meaning. Nas type. Emcees rarely have HIT records but always have REAL records.

BONUS QUESTION:
EXPLAIN YOUR NAME HOW DID YOU GET IT OR WHERE DID IT COME FROM
SuperStar Kay came from my status in my production. Like, Other producers have always had a few hundred beats under em', while I've had thousands. Friends always said I'd be a star in my work & I took that & amplified it to better match my status in what I bring forth.

Bio
If you’re ever in Gary, Indiana and just so happen to come by Taney and 15th, stop by and ask for a guy named Rocky. You’ll find him in a Chicago Bulls hat and he’ll put you on to some of the hottest mixtapes out now in the city. No kidding! In his bag, look thoroughly for this name, Number 1 Playaz. Yeah…you may not have heard of them, but then again have you ever really heard of Gary, Indiana? The often slept on, but recognized by those that know G.I. is the birthplace of the Jackson 5, Gary is a landmark under the unlikeliest of circumstances and home of brothers Playo (Jerry Hayom, Jr.) and O-Dogg (Orlando Haymon) and friend T-Turner (Antonio Turner). Just like the old steel mills that used to hum during the summer months on Cline Street and helped to earn the city one of its many nicknames like The Steel City, Number 1 Playaz are poised to earn a few honors of their own.
Taking a step back a notch, the Haymon brothers as kids performed in elementary schools, middle schools and youth programs. “Growing up in Gary, Indiana taught me my survival skills and my pops showed me how to move in ‘em” explained Playo. During high school Playo and O-Dogg sought to learn all they could about the music industry and how to mix and master their own tracks for the preparation of putting out their own music. In the beginning it was just those two going back and forth on the mic until 2001 when they met Chicago native T-Turner who would go on to become the final piece to creating Number 1 Playaz. “We met T-Turner in Hammond, Indiana and had no idea that he could rap until we heard his verse on a song from another mixtape he was on. After my brotha and me heard him, we knew we found our third member and decided to ask him to join the group,” says O-Dogg. After years of recording and hustling, they found a unique distinction in their hometown for being the most consistent and next to blow. This showed and proved to them and others around them just how determined N1P are for success. This determination would lead to them performing on the same stage with such acts as the Ying Yang Twins, Lil Scrappy, Juvenile and Devin the Dude in their city. T-Turner, “performing with these artists was a blessing.” O-Dogg goes on to say, “Around that time, I think we were all students because we would watch the way the artists carried them-selves on stage. We took notes of the performances and wanted to work on our presence.” In 2003, the trio released the mixtape “Can You Relate?” which was suppose to be a reflection of their maturing as artists. The project fared well and gave the guys an opportunity to branch out with individual projects. So for three years Number 1 Playaz went on hiatus from 2003 to 2006. Playo and O-Dogg released solo projects and performed at almost every club in Indiana. In 2007 the hiatus was over and unlike the previous mixtapes that were released independently, the guys wanted to release another set of solo projects this time through their label P.O.T.O.T.G. Records. (Playaz On Top Of The Game). 3 releases came out and sold well independently. O-Dogg released, Da Wake-up Call, Playo released Playtimes Ova and T-Turner Young, Thirsty & Hungary. The projects sold over 6,000 combined units.
In 2012 they released the highly anticipated mixtape Put Us In The Game via DatPiff. The project did well and it featured the smash hit single “Haterz.” During the fall of that year, N1P recorded a song for University of Indiana basketball star Cody Zeller entitled “Cody Zeller” The record became hard to miss in and around the college campus in Bloomington. Amazingly the song caught the attention of executives at CBS Sports and they wanted to use the song. “It's funny when we made that record "Cody Zeller", we never expected CBS Sports to contact us about it. They saw the video on YouTube and wanted to use it on an episode of ‘Inside College Basketball’. So we let them use it. We were excited because no one where we from never had a their music played on CBS Sports,” says Playo. N1P relationship with CBS Sports didn’t end there. They were asked again to do a song to be used on ‘Inside Of College Football’ for the 2013 season. Right now the guys have  release a sequel to the 2012 Put Us In The Game mixtape called Put Us In The Game 2 (2 Quarter). The lead single from the project is called “You Can’t Play Me” and it features fellow Gary, Indiana native Freddie Gibbs on the track. The 19 track mixtape dropped July 23rd on DatPiff and is hosted by DJ Smallz. It promises to be their most polished project to date. T-Turner wraps it up with this thought, “This project is more on some playa shit. The last mixtape was more on some gangsta shit filled with a lot of bangers that you could ride to. On this new project, we slowed it down a bit and wanted to create a balance of hearing dope playa music mixed a lot of tracks that the ladies could listen to too.”
Question and Answer with Good Korner Musiq:
1.WHERE DO YOU SEE HIP HOP/RAP AS A WHOLE RIGHT NOW?
ANSWER:
From a independent artist stand-point I see hip hop/rap in a great state because of the opprotunities thats out here for us now. Back in the 90's and the early 2000's and before then, basically an artist needed a major record lable to boost their career, and distribute and promote your musically worldwide. Now we have the internet :)
2. DO YOU WANT A RECORD DEAL OR DISTRIBUTION DEAL AND WHY?
Answer:
We're aiming for a distribution deal, because we're already running our record label, and honestly I'm not too fond on signing with these labels as an artist, I rather sign as a business partner, and that's the difference between a record deal and a distribution deal
3. WHO DO YOU WANT TO WORK WITH ?
Answer
Honestly I would like to work with alot of r&b artists llike Chris Brown, Robin Thicke, Justin Timberlake, Mary J. Blidge, Alicia Keys...people like that, I feel like I can handle the rappin' parts on an song lol
4.WHAT WOULD YOU TELL A YOUNG EMCEE COMING UP IN THIS GAME?
Answer
I would tell a young emcee to know what u want and go after it. This business requires alot of money (number 1), time, patience, persistence, dedication, & hard work. This may start off as a hobby but you have to turn into a work, a job, a career...if u wanna be successful in this business
5.WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF A EMCEE?
Answer
My definiton of a emcee is simple, anybody that's spitting that shit from the heart, and not just some made up lollipop stories is a emcee to me

BIOGRAPHY
Lyrical, witty, and refreshing describes the lyrical talents of Chicago artist Sinatris. Born Dec 5th, a Sagittarius,
Sinatris adopted his stage name from his actual government name, wanting to connect personally with his fans.

Raised in Chicago and the south suburbs with his mother, step dad and four brothers Sinatris used basketball and even footworking in his early years as a way to escape the hard ships he endured. It wasn't until the age of 18 Sinatris started to take music seriously and began making songs and battle rapping locally.

Since 2005 Sinatris has performed in over 1500+ shows, released multiple mixtapes in the thousands of copies, received local and national radio spins, and garnished co signs from major artists such as Styles P, Dj Drama, and Shawnna.

With the combination of witty lyricism, hard hitting punchlines and delivery, and a certain realness that captivates listeners, Sinatris has already created a huge buzz and its only a matter of time before he leaks over unto the national scene!
